Symposium on New Media and the Courts

The William H. Rehnquist Center at the James E. Rogers College of Law invites you to attend a one-day symposium on how the so-called "new media" - including Web sites, blogs, wikis, streaming audio and video - have changed reporting about, and communicating by, the courts. We will look at the ways in which judges, lawyers, law professors, traditional media, bloggers, and interest groups use new media to educate the public and to influence public attitudes about the courts. We will also explore ways in which the courts use or adapt to new media coverage, and consider what we know - and most need to know - in order to make sense of these developments.
